Marquis support T Rex Trek in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust

02 July 2009

Lloyd will complete the challenge through the summer and early autumn, stopping-in to towns and cities along the route to promote Teenage Cancer Trust and fundraise locally. Lloyd has a long history of creative and unusual feats including the London Marathon in a diving suit, crossing Australia on a penny farthing bicycle and an underwater marathon in Loch Ness. All of these feats have been done for charity.

20 years ago Lloyd was diagnosed with leukaemia and was one of the very first recipients of a bone marrow transplant which saved his life. He spent his time in hospital in an environment where all of the people around him were elderly and dying of cancer, so knows first-hand how important it is to get care facilities specific for young patients. Follow Lloyd on his blog, or stop by and see him along the way! He sets off from Lands End on the 19th July but will be launching the event from 13th July in Central London.
